La Poste’s Success with Virtual Classes

In 2016, Le Groupe La Poste of France had one important goal to achieve: Provide seniors a tablet unique to their needs.  The result was Ardoiz.

Virtual Classrooms
Ardoiz is a tablet designed to provide seniors an affordable and easy way to connect with family and contacts.  It also offers seniors practical access to important news, as well as enjoyable gaming applications.

The release of Ardoiz reflects La Poste’s continued effort to democratise access to information, both in print and in digital mediums.  The tablet also factors into their vision for improving all their services by 2020.

Releasing the tablet has been a tremendous help to many citizens.  But before the tablet could be made available, La Poste’s 30,000 customer service representatives had to be trained on the product.  To complicate matters, La Poste had a short timeline to get all of these people trained.

How did they decide to meet this call?  They turned to MeetingOne and Adobe Connect.

The Answer: Adobe Connect Virtual Classes

Problem-Solving-VideosThe use of Adobe Connect made a lot of sense for La Poste.  The use of virtual classes would allow for the instantaneous training of remote workers, which reduces the overall costs of training.

La Poste also factored in the strain training puts on their teams.  Virtual sessions can be of shorter duration than in-person trainings.  In the end, online training was the best solution to ensure their representatives would be ready when Ardoiz was released.

The transition away from traditional classrooms was not easy.  Many of the instructors at La Poste were hesitant to make such a dramatic move.  After working with MeetingOne’s consultants and dabbling in Adobe Connect virtual classrooms, these same individuals came around to the technology.  All were pleased with how easy the technology was to use.

With everything ready to go, La Poste was ready to begin their online training with Adobe Connect.

But we don’t want to say too much!  Nicole LeCourt, the Director of Innovation at La Poste, spent time with MeetingOne at the iLearning Forum and explained the success of the program during an interview!

Hear the full interview with Nicole as she discusses the initiative.  During the interview, Nicole explains:
