The boldest suggest it won\u2019t be relevant for business in the future.\u00a0From my experience, these statements are totally exaggerated.\u00a0 If anything conferencing calling is <strong>better, faster, stronger,<\/strong> and more <strong>relevant<\/strong> than ever before.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>What\u2019s Better:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\">With new tools for managing interactions, conference call hosts can now better guide active participation.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\"><strong>What\u2019s Faster:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\">Cloud hosted programs have made accessing conference call reports and recordings easier and faster than ever before.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>What\u2019s Stronger:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\">Improved audio conference bridges have increased call quality and capacity while reducing costs, which allows for more people around the world to connect every day.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\"><strong>How it\u2019s more relevant:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\">Audio integration has made conference call providers a relevant player in the web conferencing and online training space.\u00a0 Audio integration provides the high call quality and voice clarity that is missing from web conferences that are using VoIP for audio.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\">This Ain\u2019t Your Father\u2019s Conference Calling<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-6458 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.meetingone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Conference-Calling-Featured-Image-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Conference Calling Isn't Outdated\" width=\"349\" height=\"349\" \/>When I joined the world of conferencing, my expectations that conference calling was an old technology went right out the window.<\/p>\n<p>The technology is much better, faster, and stronger than I could have imagined.<\/p>\n<p>Today I want to share with you the three factors that changed my perspective: internet enhancement, the cloud, and improved audio conference bridges.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600; line-height: 1.5;\">#1: Internet Enhancement: BETTER, Faster, Stronger<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When conference providers began leveraging the internet to enhance and manage calls, the conference calling game changed forever.\u00a0 Now better attendee management, group collaboration, and levels of participation are all possible because of conference call features, like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\"><strong>Visual Interfaces<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Visual interfaces are user-friendly virtual displays of a conference call.\u00a0<strong> It\u2019s a valuable technology because you get to visually manage every aspect of a call.<\/strong>\u00a0 Before a\u00a0call, you can now define conference access for attendees, set up roll-calls, and dial-out to participants using the visual interface.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">During a\u00a0live conference call, you can also use avatars (that represent attendees) to manage your call participants. \u00a0If someone is getting a little too rambunctious, for example, you can mute or even boot them from the call.\u00a0 Using the avatars, you can also move participants into audio sub-conference rooms, explained below.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\"><strong>Audio Sub-Conference Rooms<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">One of the coolest features I\u2019ve found are the audio sub-conference rooms because it\u2019s the best option for driving group collaboration over a conference call. \u00a0Several factors that make it ideal for collaboration, like:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8211; The rooms are isolated from the main conference to help separate groups so they can work together without distractions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8211; You can quickly drag-and-drop teams of participants into these rooms so that they can engage each other in conversation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8211; Attendees can be pre-assigned to rooms, so they always automatically join the correct sub-conference room<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\"><strong>Question Queues:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">If you\u2019ve ever found yourself on a conference call where you didn\u2019t have an opportunity to talk, you\u2019ll love question queues.\u00a0 The question queue is a mode within visual interfaces that can be turned on to let participants ask questions or voice their opinions \u2013 all without disrupting the call.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">By entering a short dial-pad prompt, attendees can move themselves into a question queue.\u00a0 Then the conference host can allow attendees to speak by clicking on their avatar.\u00a0 Using these queues is a sure way for you to encourage participation during conference calls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\"><em>(Quick tip: these queues provide an <strong><a style=\"color: #bb2025;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.meetingone.com\/blog\/better-conference-call-meetings\/\" target=\"_blank\">excellent opportunity<\/a><\/strong> to hold Q&amp;As at the end of a conference call.)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600; line-height: 1.5;\"><br \/>\n#2: The Cloud: Better, FASTER, Stronger<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Like everything else in the business world today, conference providers are moving their technology to the cloud.\u00a0 And trust me, this is a big deal for anyone who hosts many conference calls.\u00a0 Most providers on the cloud have online account management systems that automatically aggregate and store conference call data, like start times, call lengths, and costs, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>The cloud\u2019s value is apparent for conference calling when you need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\">Store call recordings for fast, consistent access<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Conference call recordings can be automatically saved in the cloud for an extended period. \u00a0This offers administrators fast access to recordings if they need to distribute one to absent team members or review it for internal purposes.\u00a0 And you can be sure to find them in one spot to quickly download.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #bb2025;\">Generate conference call reports<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Because the cloud stores all the information related to your conference calls, you can automate the reports of the calls.\u00a0 Finding out who made what calls on which days at what times no longer has to be a (confusing) ordeal for your business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Reports can be generated for administrators and hosts in seconds, too.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;
