MeetingOne is led by a seasoned group of professionals with extensive experience in the teleconferencing, telecommunications, information technology and Internet industries.
Sophie Lal, Chairman and CEO
Sophie founded MeetingOne in 1999 and serves as Chairman and CEO. Sophie has over 14 years of experience in the telecommunications and high-tech industries in North America and Europe. Prior to MeetingOne, Sophie has managed new product marketing research, product launch planning, business development, as well as sales support and direct sales teams for Fortune 500 companies such as France Telecom/Orange, US West and Microsoft as well as smaller high-tech companies such as Genesys Conferencing, Meta International and TIA. Sophie holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Marketing from the "Institut Superieur du Commerce" in Paris, France and an MBA in International Marketing from the University of Colorado.
Ron LaRue, CFO
Ron has a BS in Business Education from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, MI and a Masters Degree in Accounting from UNC in Greeley, CO. He taught two years of Accounting at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR and another two years at UNC. Previously he worked 11.5 years for Storage Technology holding various positions (the last being Controller for the Int'l Mfg. Division, in Louisville, CO), 7.5 years for Professional Career Development Institute in Atlanta, GA as VP Finance & Administration, four years with Delta Airlines as Mgr. of Inventory Control in Atlanta, GA, and 2.5 years in his own consulting business as VP of Operations in Orlando, Fl helping small or mid-sized firms to grow to the next level.
Ty Robbins, Sr Vice President of Operations
Ty Robbins has been with MeetingOne for seven years. He has held several positions within the company, most recently Senior Vice President of Operations. Ty has over 15 years experience in technology management with companies like Shea Homes and TrusJoist. He has degrees in Architecture and Structural Engineering from Texas Tech University. He and his wife volunteer as EMTs and Rescue Lieutenants in the foothills of Colorado's Front Range.
Crash Lowe, VP of Enterprise Sales and Business Development
Crash has been with MeetingOne for over six years. Crash obtained his BA in Business Marketing from Kent State University after retiring from the United States Freestyle Ski Team. After receiving his BA, Crash focused on consumer market research and strategic marketing for Dagger Kayaks (now owned by Watermark Sports) where he contributed to the growth of the kayak market overall as well as the Dagger kayak product line. In addition, Crash orchestrated a partnership between Dagger Kayaks and Subaru America that still exists today as well as positioning for the VC buyout of Daggar Kayaks by Watermark. Following his work with Dagger, he spent two years as the General Manager for Boulder Outdoor Center and grew the business by over 45%. At MeetingOne, Crash contributed significantly to the strong growth of the company during its start up years and currently leads the US sales team as the company continues to expand.
Nicolas Perdrillat, Director of Sales Engineering and Business Development
Nicolas has ten years of international experience in the IT industry, including the last six years at MeetingOne. In his current position and as a consultant for Microsoft, Qwest (US West) as well as smaller organizations, he has designed and managed software and information systems projects and services. Such projects involved Web Meeting and e-Learning Solutions, Instant Messaging Integration, Database Systems as well as Web Site Design. At MeetingOne, Mr. Perdrillat has pioneered the web meeting and e-learning offerings, the account management program, and event services. He currently manages MeetingOne's business development activities including partners, channels, resellers, and the ongoing account management program. Nicolas has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Shelby Britton, Director of Marketing
Shelby has been with MeetingOne since May 2007 and is focused primarily on lead generation and communications. Prior to MeetingOne, Shelby was the Director of Marketing for an IBM Business Partner for three years. She also has six years experience running her own company in the sports entertainment industry before moving into the high-tech industry. Shelby has a BA in Literature and Writing from the University of California San Diego and an MBA in Marketing and Business Management from San Diego State University.
Eric Weaver, Director of Engineering
Eric came to MeetingOne in February of 2005. He has over 15 years of systems development experience in several areas including telecom, process control, robotics, and business applications. Eric has worked for such companies as Premiere Conferencing and Phoenix Technologies as well as an independent consultant for several years.
Emmanuel Deboulle, Director of BeLux and France
Emmanuel started at MeetingOne in 1999 as Account Manager BeLux and in time took on the position of Marketing Director in 2003. In 2005 he became Sales Director and General Director of MeetingOne BeLux. After studying finance, his professional career began in the real estate branch/sector at the ERA group and he entered the world of telecommunications in 1998.
Cedric Van Uffel, Marketing Manager Europe
Cedric joined MeetingOne in January 2008 and is focused on lead generation, communication and branding. He brings along with him 10 years of Marketing Communications experience within the telecom business. After studying Communication Management with a specialization degree in Multimedia, he started his career with Internet Service Provider UUNET in 1996. When WorldCom took over UUNET in 2001, Cedric joined the EMEA Marketing organization where one of his responsibilities was to centralize the Direct Marketing activities for the region. Along with the evolution of the company (the name change to MCI and the acquisition by Verizon), Cedric held several international positions, the last one being International Marcomms Manager for Verizon Business.
